Delete your Kobo account using your Kobo Books app (Android)

You can delete your Rakuten Kobo account using the Kobo Books app on Android. When you delete your Kobo account, you'll permanently delete all your books and account information.

Deleting your Rakuten Kobo account is irreversible: Be sure you want to delete your Rakuten Kobo account and all your eBooks and audiobooks forever. After you delete your Rakuten Kobo account, Rakuten Kobo will not be able to retrieve your eBooks, audiobooks, or account information.

What will be deleted?

After you delete your Kobo account, you'll permanently lose access to the following:

All personal information stored on your account
eBooks
Audiobooks
Audiobook credits
Kobo Store credit
Audiobook subscriptions
eBook subscriptions
VIP Membership
Kobo Super Points balance
Associations to Facebook, Google, and non-Kobo site logins.
Note: Your accounts on those non-Kobo sites will not be deleted. Those logins can be used to create a new Kobo account if you choose to to do so. Books that you purchased on non-Kobo sites will be deleted since Rakuten Kobo is the provider of the content.

If you're a Kobo Writing Life (KWL) author:

You'll lose access to your KWL account and dashboard. Self-publishing with KWL requires an active Kobo account.

Delete your Rakuten Kobo account on your Kobo Books app

To delete your Rakuten Kobo account using the Kobo Books app (Android), follow the steps below:

Open the Kobo Books app on your Android device.
Tap theProfile icon near the top of the screen.
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Tap Delete Account.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Follow the onscreen steps to permanently delete your Rakuten Kobo account or cancel your Kobo Plus subscription.

Tip: Carefully read and understand the onscreen prompts and instructions before you proceed to the next steps.

Cancel your Kobo Plus account
You'll see an option to cancel your Kobo Plus subscription if you have one.
To cancel your Kobo Plus account, tap Cancel Subscription and follow the onscreen steps.

Delete your Kobo account
Scroll down the screen and tap Delete Account and follow the onscreen steps. After you've completed all the onscreen steps, you'll see a confirmation screen.
