What's included in the Clyde Protection Plan?
The Clyde extended Protection Plan covers some items that are not included under the Kobo warranty:
- Protection against accidental damage cause by drops and spills.
- Mechanical and electrical failure breakdowns after the Kobo warranty expires.
- Power surge protection.
What's not included in the Clyde Protection Plan?
The Clyde extended protection plan does not cover:
- Cosmetic damage, such as scratches or dents that do not impact the eReader functionality.
- Damage from third-party assembly or third-party maintenance of your product.
- Loss or theft.
- Battery issues.

Note: Claims are subject to inspections by Clyde before approval.
How can I file a claim?
The claims will be filled through Clyde's website: hiclyde.com.
You can file a claim:
- By logging in to your Clyde account and selecting the corresponding product
- As a guest using the Contract ID found on your welcome email you received after purchasing the Protection Plan
Once you file your claim and it has been approved by Clyde, you'll get a promo code for the value of the eReader purchased that's associated with the Protection Plan.
To redeem the promo code, make an eReader purchase on Kobo Store. During the checkout process, enter your promo code in the 'Discount code' field.
