To listen to audiobooks using your eReader, you’ll need to pair your Bluetooth speaker or headphones to your eReader.
Notes:
- The built-in Bluetooth feature is only available on these eReaders:
- If you’re not sure which eReader you have, follow the steps here.
- You can only pair Bluetooth headphones and speakers to your eReader.
Before you start:
- Confirm that your headphones or speaker supports Bluetooth.
On most Bluetooth-enabled products, you’ll see thelogo or
Bluetooth icon on the device or box it came in.
- Turn on your headphones or speaker and ensure that it’s ready to pair with a new device such as your eReader.
- If you’re not sure how to set your Bluetooth headphones or speaker to pairing mode, contact the headphones or speaker manufacturer for additional help.
Enable Bluetooth on your eReader
Set your headphones or speaker to pairing mode, then place your Bluetooth headphones or speaker near your eReader before you complete the steps below.
To connect your Bluetooth speaker or headphones with your eReader:
- Go to your Home screen.
- Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Bluetooth Connection.
- Beside ‘Bluetooth’, tap the
circle icon to turn Bluetooth on.
It may take a few moments before you see your device name in the list.
If you don't see your Bluetooth device in the list, ensure your Bluetooth device is in pairing mode, then tap Rescan at the bottom of the menu.
- Tap the name of your Bluetooth device.
Beside the name of your Bluetooth device, you’ll see a checkmark to confirm your Bluetooth connection.
After you’ve connected your Bluetooth headphones or speaker to your eReader, you can listen to audiobooks using your eReader.
Turn Bluetooth off and on to troubleshoot
If you’re having issues connecting your Bluetooth headphones or speaker to your eReader, unpair your eReader’s Bluetooth by turning Bluetooth off, and then back on.
- Go to your Home screen.
- Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Bluetooth Connection.
- Beside ‘Bluetooth’, tap the

After Bluetooth is enabled on your eReader, set your Bluetooth headphones or speaker to pairing mode, and then tap Rescan at the bottom of the screen.
Your Bluetooth headphones or device should appear in the list. Tap on the name of your Bluetooth headphones or speaker to connect to it.
