With the colour screen, you can see your library in full colour. The colour screen also improves some features that you might be familiar with.
A few things to remember about the colour screen:
- The following Kobo eReaders have colour screens:
Kobo Libra Colour and Kobo Clara Colour
- Your screen will only display colours if the page was designed to be shown with colours. For example, some books—such comic books—may have a colour cover page with black and white drawings in the body of the book.
- Your screen does not “colourize” black and white pages or images. This means that if a page was designed to be in black and white, the screen cannot add colour to the page.
- When you put your eReader to sleep or turn it off, you’ll see your book cover in colour. This won't affect your eReader's battery life.

While browsing your Home screen or My Books menu, all your book covers will be shown in colour. Your book cover will also be shown in colour when you turn off your eReader or put it in Sleep mode.
