You can open a maximum of 15 Kobo Plus books during the trial period if you use your Kobo eReader or Kobo Books app to read while you're offline.    

About trial periods:

• For FNAC customers, you'll have a 14-day trial period.
• For other customers worldwide, you'll have a 30-day trial period.
• The free trial period is not applicable for customers in Quebec, Canada.

You may prefer to disconnect your Kobo eReader from Wi Fi while travelling or to save on battery life. Once you've opened 15 Kobo Plus books or reached the end of trial period of offline reading, you'll need to reconnect to Wi Fi and sync your Kobo eReader to continue reading. You'll then be able to open up to 15 Kobo Plus books again over the trial period once you disconnect.

The same applies if you disconnect your smartphone or tablet from the internet to read with the Kobo Books app while offline. Simply reconnect and sync your Kobo Books app for Apple, Windows, or Android if you've opened 15 Kobo Plus books or reached your trial period.

Reading Kobo Plus books on your Kobo eReader while offline

You can open a maximum of 15 Kobo Plus books over the trial period if you use your Kobo eReader to read while you're offline.

You may prefer to disconnect your Kobo eReader from Wi Fi while travelling or to save on battery life. Once you've opened 15 Kobo Plus books or reached the end of your trial offline reading period, you'll need to reconnect to Wi Fi and sync your Kobo eReader to continue reading. You'll then again be able to open up to 15 Kobo Plus books over a the trial period once you disconnect.

We'll remind you to sync your eReader as you get close to opening 15 Kobo Plus books or approach the end of your trial period of offline reading period. You'll also see Sync labels next to the Kobo Plus books in your library if it's almost time to sync.

1. Go to your Home screen.
2. Tap Sync.
   • If you are within range of a known network, your eReader automatically joins that network and will begin syncing.
   •  If you are not within range of a known network, your eReader will begin the Adding a Network process.

After you sync your Kobo eReader, you'll be able to open up to 15 Kobo Plus books again over the trial period of offline reading.
             

Reading Kobo Plus books in your Kobo Desktop app while offline

You can read up to 15 Kobo Plus books from your library in your Kobo Desktop app while offline. After your trial period for offline reading expires, you'll need to re-connect to Wi Fi and sync Kobo Desktop to continue reading.

You'll see a message reminding you to re-connect to Wi Fi when your trial period of offline reading have expired.

1. Connect your computer to the internet.
2. Open Kobo Desktop.
3. Click the Sync icon.

Reading Kobo Plus books in your Kobo Books app while offline

You can open a maximum of 15 Kobo Plus books over your trial period if you use your Kobo Books app for Apple, Android, or Windows smartphones or tablets to read while you're offline.

You may prefer to disconnect your smartphone or tablet from Wi Fi while travelling or to save on battery life. Once you've opened 15 Kobo Plus books or reached the end of your trial period of offline reading, you'll need to reconnect to Wi Fi and sync your Kobo Books app to continue reading. You'll then be able to open up to 15 Kobo Plus books over a trial period again once you disconnect.

We'll remind you to connect to Wi Fi and sync when you get close to opening 15 Kobo Plus books or near the end of your trial period of offline reading.
