The Kobo Desktop app lets you read and buy eBooks on your PC or Mac. You can also use Kobo Desktop to manage eBooks on your eReader. 

Install Kobo Desktop on Windows

Kobo Desktop is compatible with Windows Vista or later.

1. Go to kobosetup.com.
2. Click the red Download now button.
   
   
3. Save the file somewhere you will remember (for example, to your Windows Desktop).
4. Once the download is complete, find the downloaded file.
5. Double-click the saved file.
6. Follow the onscreen setup instructions.
   
   

Install Kobo Desktop on a Mac

Kobo Desktop is compatible with:

• OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) or later

1. Go to kobosetup.com.
2. Click the red Download now button.
   
   
3. The file should download to your Macintosh Desktop or your Downloads folder.
   
   
4. Install Kobo Desktop:
   • Double-click the kobosetup.dmg file that you downloaded. 
   • Drag the Kobo Desktop icon into the Applications folder.
     
     
     
5. Open the Kobo Books app:
   • Go to the Applications folder and double-click the  Kobo icon to open the app.
