You may see a Purchase Authentication window during the checkout process. This is additional security so that your credit card and personal information is secure.
Note: This applies to customers who live in Europe only.
When you set up your credit card with your bank or credit card company, you'll be asked to set up a feature called 3D Secure. 3D Secure ensures that all purchases made with your credit card must be verified with a code that is sent to your phone.
During the checkout process at Kobo.com, you'll see the Process Authentication window after you click Complete Purchase. Your bank or credit card company will send you a text message with a code.
To complete your purchase with Rakuten Kobo:
- Check your text messages on your phone and look for the code that your bank sent.
- Enter your code into the empty field.
- Click Submit.
If the code is correct, you'll complete your checkout process.
Note: If you click Cancel, you'll see an error message. To purchase your item, click Complete Purchase at the top of the screen to try again.
If your code doesn't work:
- Click Resend Code to get a new code on your phone, then re-enter your new code and click Submit.
- Contact your bank or credit card company for additional support.
