Update your credit card information or billing address

You can add or update your billing address and payment information at Kobo.com

Before you update your account with a new credit card, here are a few things to remember:

Enter your billing address and postal code exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
If you have trouble purchasing a book using a new credit card, try entering abbreviated and full versions of the street names. For example 'Street' and 'St.', or 'Drive' and 'Dr'.
If you're a U.S. customer, enter the postal code in full. For example, 00000-0000.
Ensure that you're entering the address that's associated with your new credit card.
Make sure that your new credit card has been activated.

When you're ready to add or update your credit card information:

Go to Kobo.com.
Sign in to your Kobo account.
Click My Account near the top of the page.
Click Payment Information.
Beside your credit name, click the menu icon.
Click Edit.
Clear all the fields and then re-enter your credit card details.
Click Save and Continue.

Add PayPal as a payment method

In addition to credit cards, you can use PayPal as a payment method. Follow the steps below to set up PayPal with your Rakuten Kobo account.

Go to Kobo.com.
Sign in to your Kobo account.
Click My Account near the top of the page.
Click Account Settings.
Under the Payment Information tab, click Add a Payment Method.
Select PayPal.
Click the icon.
Enter your PayPal email address or mobile number and click Next.
Sign in to your PayPal account using a one-time code:
- Click Get a Code.
  You'll be asked to log in using a one-time code.
- Check your cellphone associated with your PayPal account and look for a text message from PayPal that includes a numeric code. Enter the code into the empty fields.
- If you entered the correct code, your PayPal account will be set up with your Rakuten Kobo account. Follow the onscreen steps to complete the set up process.

Add iDeal|Wero as a payment method

If you live in a region where iDeal|Wero is supported, can you can link your iDeal|Wero account with Rakuten Kobo.

When you link your iDeal|Wero account with Rakuten Kobo, you'll be charged you'll be charged € 0.01 for account verification. This amount will be refunded after your account is verified.

Go to Kobo.com.
Sign in to your Kobo account.
Click My Account near the top of the page.
Click Account Settings.
Under the Payment Information tab, click Add a Payment Method.
Select iDeal|Wero.
Under 'Full Name', enter your full name associated with your bank account.
Under 'Bank', select your bank in the drop-down menu.
Click Continue with iDeal|Wero.
Note: You'll be charged € 0.01 for account verification. This amount will be refunded after your account is verified.
Follow the onscreen steps to complete your iDeal|Wero account setup using the QR code on your smartphone.
