- If you don't have a Kobo account, your data sharing settings will be saved for one month on your browser if you don't clear your browsing data.
If you live outside of Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Europe, or Brazil:
- You can adjust your data tracking settings on your Kobo eReader or Kobo Books app. Follow the steps below to adjust your data sharing settings.
Turn data sharing on or off using your Kobo eReader or Kobo Books app
If you live outside of Canada, United States, Europe, or Brazil, you'll need to adjust your data tracking settings on your Kobo eReader or Kobo Books app.
Notes:
- If you turn off data sharing on your eReader, it only disables it on that one device.
- If you have multiple eReaders, you'll need to turn off data sharing for each device individually.
- If you reset your eReader or sign out, you'll need to set your data sharing preferences again.
Kobo eReader
- Go to your Home Screen.
- Tap More.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Energy saving and privacy.
- At the very bottom of the page, select or deselect the checkbox beside 'Automatically share data about the features you use':
- Select the checkbox to share data with Kobo about features you use.
- Clear the checkbox to turn off data sharing.
Kobo Books App (iOS):
- Go to your Home Screen.
- Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Beside 'Help Improve our App' tap the slider to turn data sharing on or off.
Kobo Books App (Android):
- Go to your Home Screen.
- Tap the
Profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Under 'Help Improve our App':
- Select the checkbox to share data with Kobo about features you use.
- Clear the checkbox to turn off data sharing.
