If you can’t find an eBook or audiobook you purchased from Kobo, or have issues opening an eBook or audiobook, follow the steps below.

Unable to open a book

If you can't open your book on your eReader, try the steps in the order below.

1. Remove the book from your eReader, then download it again
2. Repair your eReader account
3. Ensure you're signed in to the correct account
4. Sign out of your Kobo account then sign back in
   
   

Your book won't download

If your eBook won't download on your eReader, try the steps below. Before you start, ensure you're connected to a strong Wi Fi connection.

1. Repair your eReader account
2. Remove the book from your eReader, then download it again
3. Use the Kobo Desktop app to download all your books
4. Ensure you're signed in to the correct account
5. Sign out of your Kobo account then sign back in

Missing books on your Kobo eReader

If you can't find a book on your eReader, try the steps in the order below.

1. Sync your Kobo eReader over Wi Fi
2. Turn your Kobo eReader on and off
3. Verify that you're signed in to the correct account
4. Repair your account on your Kobo eReader
5. Move items out of your account archive
6. Search for a book on your eReader
7. Sign out of your Kobo eReader

Missing books or audiobooks on your Kobo Books app

If syncing your Kobo Books app didn't solve the problem, try the troubleshooting steps below.

Missing books or audiobooks in your Kobo Account

If you deleted a book you purchased from Kobo (either intentionally or accidentally), you can restore it to get it back.

If you see a ‘Content Lock’ error on your Kobo eReader

If you get a 'Content Lock' or 'Authorization' error on your eReader, you'll need to use ADE to add the eBook to your eReader.
