Update your email, language, and privacy preferences

You can choose whether or not you receive marketing emails from Kobo and the language that you receive emails in.

Kobo emails keep you up to date on the latest Kobo promotions and offers as well as any upcoming new releases.

To update your email and language preferences:

1. Go to Kobo.com.
2. Sign in to your account.
   
3. Hover your mouse cursor over 'My Account' near the top-right of the screen.
   
   
   
4. Click Account Settings.
   
   
5. Scroll down to 'Marketing Preferences'.
   
6. Beside 'Email Updates', click the slider icon and select whether you'd like to receive marketing emails from Kobo:
   • If the slider icon has a checkmark , it means that you will get marketing emails from Kobo.
   • If the slider icon is towards the left , it means that you will not get marketing emails from Kobo.
     
     
     
     
7. Beside 'Email Language', click Update.
   
   
   
8. Select the language that you'd like your emails to appear in.

Adjust your Privacy and Data Sharing settings

Kobo collects data to improve our products and experience. You can turn data sharing on or off at any time.

1. Go to Kobo.com.
2. Sign in to your account.
   
3. Hover your mouse cursor over 'My Account' near the top-right of the screen.
   
   
   
4. Click Account Settings.
   
   
5. Under 'Privacy and Data Sharing',  click the slider icon to adjust your preferences:
   • Kobo Research: If the slider icon has a checkmark , it means that you may be contacted by Kobo about research interviews and surveys.
     
     
   • Data Share - WHSmith (Not applicable to some countries) : If the slider icon has a checkmark, it means that WHSmith may share you personal information.
     
     

Change your Kobo account personal information

You can change your personal information used with your Kobo account and profile.

1. Go to Kobo.com.
2. Sign in to your account.
   
3. Hover your mouse cursor over 'My Account' near the top-right of the screen.
   
   
   
4. Click Account Settings.
   
5. Beside 'Personal Information', click Update.
   
6. Enter your preferred first name, last name, and date of birth.
7. Click Save.

• You can update your Billing Address and Payment Information details from the Payment Information tab at the top of the screen.
